favicon.ico sucks for IE
so mozilla firefox automatically picks up any drupal favicon ... great!
it even takes your jpg/png and makes it into the right favicon...
BUT Internet Explorer 7 does not...
if you tell drupal to use the "default favicon" it is most likely using the
DRUPAL-ROOT/misc/favicon.ico (6KB) with the blue drupal drip
oddly when I "hack", (change favicon.ico to favicon.bak) and upload a custom:
/DRUPAL-ROOT/sites/all/themes/CUSTOM-THEME/favicon.ico
and tell Drupal to use the "default", IE7 gets the custom favicon but somehow
mozilla ends up with the blue drupal drip (from somewhere else!)
AND CLEAR THE CACHE and force reload... (in ie7 delete all stuff, close and reopen!)
