vSphere Client -> Configuration tab -> Hardware Networking -> Switch (properties) Ports tab -> Add -> VMkernel
IP Settings -> assign a static ip on the same subnet as the iSCSI target (also ensure the default GW is on the same subnet/routing is possible) (could be multiple NIC's for redundancy)
vSphere Client -> Configuration tab -> Hardware Storage Adapters scroll down and select iSCSI Software Adapter, then click Properties Configure -> Enabled ... OK Generates a unique Name: iqn.1998-01.com.vmware:esxlenovo-63386bcc
Dynamic Discovery tab > Add ... iSCSI Server: 10.10.10.88 ... OK
Send Targets = iSCSI Server Location = 10.10.10.88:3260 ... Close
A rescan of the host bus adapter is recommended... YES
