windows accessing assembly folder

windows-xp-accessing-assembly-folder

There is a folder that is turned into some sort of Windows Special Directory, c:\windows\assembly

  1. cmd.exe console
  2. Type "cd /d c:\windows\assembly
  3. Type: "attrib -r -h -s desktop.ini"
  4. Type "ren desktop.ini desktop.bak"

Now explorer will allow you to go through the REAL directory structure

(and perhaps delete the lurking viruses!)
