hashdeep how to

hashdeep - md5 or other algorithm hashes recursively

hashdeep -h = display the version plus help


hashdeep -l -v * > HASH-file.txt

-l = relative -v = verbose

hashdeep -r = recursive


hashdeep -w -m -k HASH-file.txt *

show the known hashes compared against all files in current dir


hashdeep -x -k HASH-file.txt *

This should return one file new from above, the HASH-file.txt

hashdeep -r -x -k HASH-firefoxportable.txt o:\2011-03-21-ebs\FirefoxPortable
