Current Reality: cheap HD, Ram and processor for workstations
By having an app on the server we could save space on a local hd
the app will require cpu & RAM from the workstation but the server has minimal resource requirements (Except network bandwidth) Some RAM? (2mb per app?)
Each workstation then would require less install? but more bandwidth - and in any even a shortcut?
A different idea is a "terminal" where the work is done on the server and only the I/O is piped to the workstation -
